It’s Kind Of A Funny Story By Ned Vizzini

The story very well portrays the journey of the character from being mentally sick to being healthy again. The journey that the character takes in just five days seems like it has covered five years instead. The story unfolds many discomforts, anxiety and superiority behaviour of human brain which compels the person to stay on the top of their nature even in worst cases where they themselves need support.

This compulsion of behaviour pressurizes the brain which leads to over thinking and destroying the brain and the person at the same time. It’s stressful to even think about the discomforts that the person puts themselves into for the sake of other people. There is only one way out and it is self-realization which again needs thinking and that is not possible with the behavioural compulsion.

The story gives justice to this concept by giving the character enough time to overcome the compulsions and achieve self-realization.
