‘I want someone whose heart is big enough to hold me’ – Attachment by Rainbow Rowell
This line comes across at a very crucial turn in the story. The person whom you have loved for years, not in the hope of marriage but in the hope of being loved, respected and cherished, suddenly decides that this affection and feelings are a burden. Also, when you have thought that you have become so important in their life that they relax the moment they see your face, it is hard to believe that you are a mere addiction for them. These feelings are much more precious in a relationship than marriage.
The person who considers these feelings as a burden are bound to be left alone in their own small selfish world and this line is the perfect reason to leave them.
